Preparation
Create a directory
Using the tools of your System (Windows explorer or similar) cretae a new directory (also called folder).
Ensure, the name of this directory does not contain blanks (space-characters).
Open a texteditor
Now please start a texteditor of choice (e.g. notepad), and cretae a new file. Pls do save this empty file,
using a filename of your choice (again, name not containing spaces) and a filetype (suffix) of
.html. A simple suggestion could be
page1.html. Do not close the texteditor after saving.
Within the directorey view you should now see a file , having the logo of the browser
of you choice attached.
Test of viewing
If you now, inside of your exercise directory, click on this new file, you should expect the browser
to be started showing up an empty
page (no errormessage is expected!)
Images
Find some images (not to large in size)
using .gif or .jpg
format, to be inserted in your WEB page(s), copy those images to the exercise directory.
Again : pay attention, the name cant cantain any spaces. Eventually rename the image.
